SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Arthur Elwood Price of Orion, who passed away on April 19, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Price was born in Chariton County, Missouri to James Arthur and Nevada (Sprouse) Price on May 23, 1929; he served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany, where he met Leni Luders; they married in Canada in 1953; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Price worked as a farmer; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Price enjoyed traveling with his family; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Price was preceded in death by his wife, Leni, and his son, Arthur Lee Price; and

WHEREAS, Arthur Price is survived by his brother, Elmer (Edna) Price; his sister, Mildred Manson; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Arthur Elwood Price and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Arthur Price as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
