SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James K. "Jim" Sigler of Moline, who
4passed away on January 3, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Sigler was born in Keota, Iowa to George
6"Verle" and Agnes (Snyder) Sigler on December 19, 1942; he
7served in the U.S. Navy; he married Beverly Strohman in
8Sigourney, Iowa on July 17, 1965; he earned his bachelor's
9degree from St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jim Sigler worked at International Harvester
11Farmall and Navistar for 30 years until he retired in 1994; he
12worked for the Moline School District for seven years until he
13retired in 2002; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jim Sigler was a member of Sacred Heart Church in
15Moline and the Friends Circle Club in Moline; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jim Sigler was preceded in death by his sisters,
17Annie, Bonnie, Joyce, Carol, Georgia, and Cindy, and his
18brothers, Harold, Darold, Raymond, Thomas, Donald, and Robert;
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jim Sigler is survived by his wife, Bev; his

1daughters, Jodie (Ron) Sigler-Blanche and Julie (Chris) Ruff;
2his grandchildren, Kellie (J.D.), Philip "PJ", Braden,
3Rebecalyn, and Terry; his sisters, Wanda (Jon) Ballou, Kathy
4Ewald, and Mary Jean (Barry) Martin; and his brothers, Carl
5(Judy) Sigler, William (Pat) Sigler, and Henry Sigler;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9James K. "Jim" Sigler and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Jim Sigler as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
