SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Ralph P. Tambaro of Rock Island, who
4passed away on July 1, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ralph Tambaro was born to Ralph R. and Margaret
6(Cimino) Tambaro in Des Moines, Iowa on December 23, 1923; he
7was a U.S. Army veteran who served under General George Patton
8in World War II; he served in France where he became a tank
9driver for the 712th Tank Battalion Company C; he married
10Catherine Ierace in Peoria on September 2, 1946; after her
11death in 1989, he married Betty Alder in Moline on April 25,
121992; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ralph Tambaro worked for the Chicago Rock Island
14Pacific Railroad from 1949 to 1980; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Ralph Tambaro was a member of Moline American
16Legion Post 246, Moline; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Ralph Tambaro enjoyed making stained glass, wood
18working, wine making, and dancing; he loved spending time with
19his family, and he was deeply committed to his faith; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Ralph Tambaro was preceded in death by his first

1wife and his great-grandson, Dade; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Ralph Tambaro is survived by his wife, Betty; his
3children, Carolyn (Jim) Reese, Michael Tambaro, Tina (Brad)
4Smith, Wayne DeLeo, and Angela (Randy) Blackburn; his
5grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Julie (Tony) Strand,
6Nicholas, Gregory, and Daniel; his great-grandchildren,
7Ashley, Caleb, Easton, Aiden, and Nick; his
8great-great-grandchild Felix; and his sister, Toni (Al) Davis;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Ralph P. Tambaro and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Ralph P. Tambaro as an expression of
17our deepest sympathy.
