SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Duane L. Allison of East Moline, who passed away on December 24, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Duane Allison was born to Lloyd J. and Alverta Bauer Allison in Moline on May 31, 1929; he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War; he married Beverly J. Bower in Rock Island on April 29, 1950, and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Duane Allison was a quality control specialist for various departments at the John Deere company for 35 years; he retired in 1984; and

WHEREAS, Duane Allison was a member of the Moline American Legion Post 246 and a former member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Rock Island; he enjoyed fishing and gardening; and

WHEREAS, Duane Allison was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his sister, Beverly Joyce Hanson; and his sister-in-law, Jo Elaine Allison; and

WHEREAS, Duane Allison is survived by his children, Marcia (Stephen) Park, Martin Allison, and Scott Allison; his grandchildren, Joshua (Brandie) Park, David (Holly) Park, and Eryn (Michael) Parks; his eight great-grandchildren; his brother, Dale Allison; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Duane L. Allison and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Duane Allison as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
