SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Shomari Tau "Chee Chee" Page of Decatur, who passed away on July 11, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Shomari Page was born to Marian Page in Decatur on October 13, 1976; he attended MacArthur High School; he later obtained his associate's degree in Business from Ivy Tech; and

WHEREAS, Shomari Page loved a good barbecue, cooking for his family, and making sure every moment spent with his family was special; he also loved life, cars, and fashion; he will be dearly missed; and

WHEREAS, Shomari Page was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ozona and Marion "Sonny" Page, and his son, Shomari Sincere Page; and

WHEREAS, Shomari Page is survived by his life partner, Sarah Schollenbruch; his children, Shaelyn Page, Shomiah Page, and Karl Coleman; his mother, Marian Page; his sisters, Sasha Riley, LaShandia Adadevoh, and Kimberly Holt; his brother, Chris Holt; a host of special cousins, Sonny, Rob, Keylee, Yancy, Trey, and Mikey; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; his mother-in-law, Sharon; his brother-in-law, Shawn; and his grandmother-in-law, GG; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Shomari Tau "Chee Chee" Page and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Shomari Page as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
