SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Efrem O. Jones of Decatur, who passed away on December 24, 2021; and

WHEREAS, Efrem Jones was born to Willie E. and Vanessa E. (Goodwin) Jones in Decatur on November 22, 1991; and

WHEREAS, Efrem Jones was employed with Fuyao Glass America Inc.; he was also an incredibly talented self-employed photographer; and

WHEREAS, Efrem Jones was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie D. Jones Jr.; his grandmother, Bernadine Goodwin; his brother, Stephen Goodwin; and his uncles, Keith Goodwin and Ozzie Jones; and

WHEREAS, Efrem Jones is survived by his parents, Willie E. and Vanessa Jones; his grandmother, Maggie Jones; his siblings, Nakia Goodwin, Terry Taylor, Etoria Goodwin, Marlin Goodwin, Tamria Goodwin, and Kyler (Shantia) Coleman; his aunts, Tasheka Goodwin, Tina (Patrick) Joyner Sr., Voni (Wesley) Smith Sr., Evele VanRoekel, Sophia (Edwin) Spinks, and Terry Goodwin; his uncle, Lawrence Graves; his special cousins and friends, Chrishawn Goodwin and Kamerynn VanRoekel; his nieces and nephews; and his cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Efrem O. Jones and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Efrem Jones as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
