SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Kathryn "Sis" Marie Cox of
4Springfield, who passed away on January 10, 2022; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kathryn Cox was born to Jessie R. Douglas and
6Floyd Watson on December 14, 1937; she married Harold E. Cox
7Sr.; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Kathryn Cox worked at Franklin Life and for the
9State of Illinois; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Kathryn Cox lived in Springfield for over 80
11years and was a member of St. John's AME Church; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Kathryn Cox was preceded in death by her parents;
13her husband; her sisters, Lois Mae Renfro, Lorraine Miller,
14Norma Jean Banks, and Mildred Caldwell; and her brothers,
15Henry Watson, Nolan Watson, and James Watson; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Kathryn Cox is survived by her three children,
17Harold E. Cox Jr. (Dorcas), Lois Holloway, and Kathy L.
18Robinson (Curtis); her three granddaughters, Terviska Watkins
19(Daryl), Kalisha Cox, and Veronica Cox; her five
20great-grandsons, Clayton (Antwon) Brewer Jr., Kelen Wilson,

1Christian Doss, Michael Coleman, and Kyaire Cox; her brother,
2Reginald Watson; her sister-in-law, Susen Cox; her nieces and
3nephews; and her other relatives and friends; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Kathryn "Sis" Marie Cox and extend our sincere condolences to
7her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Kathryn Cox as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
