SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jerald "Jerry" L. Pearson of Moline,
4who passed away on December 21, 2021; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Pearson was born to Ernest and Lydia
6(Rosene) Pearson in Moline on April 17, 1934; he served for two
7years with the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood,
8Missouri; he then attended the Chicago Institute of Art; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jerry Pearson worked as an illustrator for
10Weapons Command at the Rock Island Arsenal, retiring after 32
11years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jerry Pearson enjoyed spending time with his
13nieces and nephews hiking, biking, swimming, boating, and
14canoeing at Lake Geneva in Wisconsin; he enjoyed camping in
15the boundary waters, yachting, and simply relaxing during the
16summers; he enjoyed many cookouts and spending time with his
17friends at his "Bosky Dell" cabin on Campbells Island; in the
18winter, he spent his time at home building outdoor chairs,
19tables, bird feeders, bird houses, and many other items; he
20loved traveling to the Caribbean, Bermuda, Hawaii, Mexico, and
21all throughout the United States; he loved his family and his
22cat, Pooky, and enjoyed a great life with his nieces, nephews,

1family, and friends; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Jerry Pearson was preceded in death by his
3parents; his brother, Dale; his brother-in-law, Edwin Hess;
4and his nephew, Stephen Hess; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerry Pearson is survived by his siblings, Edward
6Pearson, Carol Hess, and Diane (Jerry) Tyler; his four nieces;
7and his five nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Jerald "Jerry" L. Pearson and extend our sincere condolences
11to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Jerry Pearson as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
