| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | | 3 | | to learn of the death of Stuart A. Pollitt of Canton, who | | 4 | | passed away on July 13, 2023; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt was born to Gilbert and Ruby | | 6 | | (Potts) Pollitt in Canton on November 27, 1951; and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt made a career serving in the U.S. | | 8 | | Armed Forces, first serving in the U.S. Army and then in the | | 9 | | U.S. Navy; and
| | 10 | | WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt was an avid collector of coins and | | 11 | | signed Chicago Cubs baseballs; he was also a military | | 12 | | historian; and
| | 13 | | WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt was preceded in death by his | | 14 | | parents and his brother, Dennis Pollitt; and
| | 15 | | WHEREAS, Stuart Pollitt is survived by his niece, Missi | | 16 | | (Sam) Thomas; his great-nieces, Velvet (Patrick Lawrence) | | 17 | | Thomas, Josey (James Harris) Thomas, and Londyn Thomas; and | | 18 | | his great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Dre, Jur-ney, | | 19 | | Justyce, and Luna; therefore, be it
