| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Steve Hatcher on | 4 | | the occasion of his retirement after 35 years as an executive | 5 | | with the Chamber of Commerce organization; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Steve Hatcher has spent his career working for | 7 | | various Chambers of Commerce organizations; he began with the | 8 | | Springfield, Missouri, Chamber of Commerce in 1975, spent time | 9 | | with the Chambers of Commerce in Kearney, Nebraska; Aurora, | 10 | | Illinois; and Elkhorn, Wisconsin, before coming to the Oswego | 11 | | Chamber of Commerce; he served as president at his stops in | 12 | | Aurora and Oswego and as executive director when he was in | 13 | | Elkhorn, Wisconsin; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, During his career, Steve Hatcher served terms as | 15 | | the elected president of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce | 16 | | Executives and the Illinois Association of Chamber Executives; | 17 | | and | 18 | | WHEREAS, One of the accomplishments that Steve Hatcher is | 19 | | most proud of was working on the widening of Route 34 from | 20 | | Aurora Avenue in Naperville to Route 71 in Oswego; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Steve Hatcher has served as the president of the |

| 1 | | Oswego Chamber of Commerce since 2009; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, Steve Hatcher and his wife, State Rep. Kay | 3 | | Hatcher, have 4 children and 6 grandchildren; they have lived | 4 | | in the Oswego Township for over 20 years; he is a decorated | 5 | | Vietnam veteran, graduated from Southern Illinois University | 6 | | in 1972, and attended the University of Colorado, University of | 7 | | Arizona, and the University of Oklahoma; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 9 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 10 | | we congratulate Steve Hatcher on his retirement from the Oswego | 11 | | Chamber of Commerce, thank him for his 35 years of service to | 12 | | the Chamber of Commerce organization, and wish him the best in | 13 | | all his future endeavours; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to Steve Hatcher as an expression of our esteem and | 16 | | respect.
