HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of FBI Special Agent Christopher W. Lorek of Glen Allen, Virginia, who passed away during a training exercise on May 17, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Lorek graduated from Glenbard South High School in Glen Ellyn in 1989; he subsequently earned a degree in ocean engineering from Texas A&M University in 1993; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Lorek served as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where he worked since 1996; he was serving as a Special Operator on the Hostage Rescue Team of the Critical Incident Response Group in Quantico, Virginia at the time of his passing; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Lorek was a member of the Three Chopt Church of Christ in Richmond, Virginia; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Lorek is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his daughters, Abigail and Madeline; his parents, William and Janet Lorek; and his brother, Jason Lorek; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of FBI Special Agent Christopher W. Lorek; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Christopher Lorek as an expression of our sympathy.
