HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Rev. Lorenzo Alexander of Chicago, who passed away on June 4, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Lorenzo Alexander was born on December 8, 1967, to Rev. Marvin E. and Sadie Alexander; he graduated from South Shore High School and served in the U.S. Navy; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Lorenzo Alexander worked as a certified cardiologist assistant; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Lorenzo Alexander was the minister at Union Missionary Baptist Church since February 1994; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Lorenzo Alexander enjoyed music, singing, and cooking; and

WHEREAS, Rev. Lorenzo Alexander is survived by his wife, Yushumic Shemika Alexander and his son, Jeremiah Alexander; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Rev. Lorenzo Alexander, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rev. Lorenzo Alexander as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
