HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dr. David T. Cypin, who passed away on June 28, 2013; and

WHEREAS, David Cypin was born on May 17, 1954, in Chicago; his parents were Charles and Gertrude Cypin; he married Barbara Anne Rand on July 9, 1988, in Arlington Heights; and

WHEREAS, David Cypin attended school in both Skokie and Niles and graduated from Niles East High School in 1972; he continued his education by attending the undergraduate program at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa before graduating from the University of Illinois Medical Center School of Dentistry in 1979; and

WHEREAS, After graduating from dental school, David Cypin partnered with Dr. Robert Corte in a practice in LaGrange, where they worked together until 1997; from 1980 until 1997, he was on staff at various Chicagoland hospitals, being associated with dental procedures in their hospital operating rooms and with their residency programs; in 1997, he moved to Marion to practice dentistry with his fellow classmate, Dr. Robert J. Main; he practiced at Main & Cypin Dentistry until the time of his passing; and

WHEREAS, David Cypin was an active member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Southern Illinois Dental Society, and Marion Elks BPOE Lodge 800; and

WHEREAS, David Cypin enjoyed traveling, playing tennis, golf, and spending time with his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, David Cypin was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Allen Cypin; and

WHEREAS, David Cypin is survived by his wife, Barbara Anne Cypin; his daughter, Tayler Nicole Cypin; his father-in-law, Theodore Rand and his wife, Sara Campbell; his sisters-in-law, Terri Rand and Jacklyn Rodgers; and his many friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Dr. David T. Cypin; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Cypin as an expression of our sympathy.
