SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Elizabeth Jean Grotberg of Batavia, who passed away on February 21, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Grotberg was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Icie Shierling, and by her husband, the Honorable John E. Grotberg; and

WHEREAS, Elizabeth Grotberg is survived by her daughter, Melinda Oswalt-Ramsden; her son, Ben (Michele) Oswalt; her step-daughters, Sandra (Chuck Barbour) Grotberg, Karen (Lloyd) Weinberg; her step-son, James (Karen Rubner) Grotberg; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Robbyn, Heidi, Ben, Joe, Anna, and John; and her 8 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Elizabeth Jean Grotberg, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Elizabeth Grotberg as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
