| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | | 3 | | learn of the death of Betty J. Argy of Crystal Lake, who passed | | 4 | | away on May 20, 2014; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, Betty Argy was born on January 30, 1930 in Villa | | 6 | | Park; her parents were Sherman and Jesse Dockery; and
| | 7 | | WHEREAS, In 1976, Betty Argy and her husband, James, | | 8 | | founded "Betty's Ice Cream", which they ran for 25 years until | | 9 | | its closing in 2001; and
| | 10 | | WHEREAS, Betty Argy enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword | | 11 | | puzzles, and being a mother and grandmother; and
| | 12 | | WHEREAS, Betty Argy attended Family Alliance in Woodstock; | | 13 | | and
| | 14 | | WHEREAS, Betty Argy was preceded in death by her husband, | | 15 | | James; 4 sisters, Ruby, Thelma, Ruth and Lorraine; a brother, | | 16 | | Sherman, Jr.; and her parents; and
| | 17 | | WHEREAS, Betty Argy is survived by 8 children, Kathryn | | 18 | | (Larry) Assell, James (Patricia) Larson, Debbie (Joe) | | 19 | | Franzone, Pam (George) Smith, Denise (the late Carter) Kukovec, |
