SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Celestine E. "Sally" Lyons of Raymond,
4who passed away on July 5, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Celestine Lyons was born in Harvey on May 3, 1921
6to Frank and Bessie (nee File) Krager; she graduated from
7Raymond High School and Browns Business College in Springfield;
8she married John Lyons in 1943; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Celestine Lyons worked for 30 years at the First
10National Bank in Raymond, beginning as a teller and rising to
11Vice-President; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Celestine Lyons was a member of St. Raymond
13Catholic Church in Raymond and the Council of Catholic Women;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Celestine Lyons was preceded in death by her
16parents; husband, John; daughter, Jean Wankum; sister, Frances
17Herman; and 3 brothers, Lawrence Krager, John Krager, and
18Howard "Tony" Krager; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Celestine Lyons is survived by 3 sons, Richard
20(Sharon) Lyons, James Lyons, and Greg (JoEllen) Lyons; 7

1grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary
2(Shirlen) Rosenthal; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Celestine E. "Sally" Lyons, and extend our sincere condolences
6to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
7it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Celestine Lyons as an expression of
10our deepest sympathy.
