SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Hellmut R. Ross of Harvard, who passed away on July 20, 2014; and

WHEREAS, Hellmut Ross was born in Germany on September 2, 1936 to Alfred R. and Frieda (nee Toeppich) Ross; he married Wanda M. Dickson on June 19, 2004; and

WHEREAS, Hellmut Ross retired as President of Arno Rouse USA in 2010; and

WHEREAS, Hellmut Ross was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR, and the Chicago Blackhawks; he field trained and showed English Springer Spaniels, and enjoyed photography and hunting and fishing with his friends; and

WHEREAS, Hellmut Ross was preceded in death by his parents, and by one brother; and

WHEREAS, Hellmut Ross is survived by his wife, Wanda Ross; children, Michelle (Michael) Terwilliger and April Bishop; 4 grandchildren, Emma and Olivia Terwilliger and Caitlin and Collin Field; sister, Hilde (Herbert) Kuband; sisters-in-law, Mary Baker and Loretta Ohlson; and brothers-in-law, Allan LaPlante and Ronald (Janet) Dickison; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Hellmut R. Ross, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Hellmut Ross as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
