SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert Dodd; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dodd was a partner of the law firm of Dodd and Maatuka; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dodd served with distinction as the Mayor of the City of Champaign for many years; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dodd was a Rotarian and served on the board of the Urban League; he was also active in AMBUCS and in numerous city government functions; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dodd was a former priest and an active member at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Urbana; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dodd enjoyed spending time with his family, and camping and taking trips in a motor home with his loved ones; and

WHEREAS, Robert Dodd is survived by his wife, Joyce; his 6 children; and his 13 grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Robert Dodd; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Dodd as an expression of our sympathy.
