SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard E. Boyer of Park City, who passed away on July 16, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Richard Boyer was born on October 5, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota; and

WHEREAS, Richard Boyer was employed at Goodyear Hose and Rubber for many years; he also served as the General Manager of Lake Bluff Bath and Tennis Club for many years; and

WHEREAS, Richard Boyer was a member of Moose Lodge #667 Zion-Benton in Zion; and

WHEREAS, Richard Boyer was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine, and his brothers, Frances, Robert, and Dennis; and

WHEREAS, Richard Boyer is survived by his life partner, Patricia "Pat" Cartwright; his daughters, Linda Froghn Powell, Yvonne (Kevin) Boyer-Eccles, and Pamela "Tammie" Reyes; his stepson, Travis Cartwright; his grandchildren, Michele and Rick Powell, Adam, Dustin (Stacey), and Sara Eccles, Brandon Victores, and Katherine Reyes; his great-grandchildren, Nathan, Ceslie, Cody, Ricky, and Brianna; his great-great-grandchild, Rylan; his sister, Sandra "Suzie" Makynen; his sister-in-law, Mary Helen Boyer; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard E. Boyer; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard Boyer as an expression of our sympathy.
