SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Timothy Cornell Collins, who passed away on December 31, 2012; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Collins was born on August 24, 1967, to Dianne Collins and Albert Holmes; he attended Whitney Young and Kenwood High Schools in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Collins graduated from The Evelyn Echols Hotel and Motel Management Program; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Collins was a staunch Illini and Chicago Bulls basketball fan; he was an earnest member of Narcotics Anonymous and was proud of his sobriety; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Collins was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert, Lula, Lillian, Betty, Minnie, and Thomas; and

WHEREAS, Timothy Collins is survived by his parents, Dianne and Robert Gilder; Albert Holmes; his brothers, Courtney (Yolonda) and Colby "Buddah"; his sister, Tiffany "Nikki"; his 2 uncles; his great uncle, Dave; his 10 aunts; his 7 nieces; his nephew; his 2 great-nephews; and a host of cousins, friends, and loved ones; and Lisa, the mother of his son, Darryl; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Timothy Collins, and we extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Timothy Collins as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
