SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Thomas R. Slott of Wheaton, who passed away on August 12, 2013; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Slott was born on September 10, 1923; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Slott served his country in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Thomas Slott was the beloved husband of 67 years of Lorraine (nee Liszewski); the loving father of Donn, Susan (Craig) Casino, John, Richard (Barbara), Dennis (Maureen), and the late Michael (Jean); the devoted grandfather of Jason, Amy, Jennifer, Carrie, Kelley, Meaghan, Dominic, Jessica, Jacob, Erik, Ryan, Kyle, Meredith, Thomas, and William; the great-grandfather of Gianna, Vincent, Dane, Lilliana, Grant, Benjamin, and Nathan; and the fond brother of John (Mary), Maryann (the late Wayne) Vanderwall, and the late Daniel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Thomas R. Slott, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Thomas Slott as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
