SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Jerome John Stansbury of Spring Grove,
4who passed away on January 30, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jerome Stansbury was born on November 12, 1943 in
6Cleveland, Ohio to Annabelle (nee Haberek) Stansbury; he served
7in the United States Navy Medical Corps from 1960 to 1964; he
8married Eileen Dolan on February 2, 1963 at the Immaculate
9Conception Catholic Church in Waukegan, and after being
10discharged from the service, they briefly lived in northern
11Illinois; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jerome Stansbury settled in southern Wisconsin
13and began working for Abbott Laboratories in 1964 as a
14Scientific Technician and held many positions within the
15company; he was known as the "Mayor of Abbott" and retired in
162002 as Manager of Document Publications Services; in 2008, he
17returned to Abbott (now AbbVie) as a contractor; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jerome Stansbury returned to Illinois in August of
192013; he enjoyed fishing, riding his lawn mower, planting
20trees, and spending time with his family; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Jerome Stansbury was preceded in death by his

1mother, Annabelle Stansbury; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Jerome Stansbury is survived by his wife, Eileen;
3his children, Lisa (Bob) Chamernik, Diana (Phil Erbach)
4Anderson, Martin (Dianne) Stansbury, and Jon (Alie) Stansbury;
5his grandchildren, Ryan, Rachael, Jake, Cody, Cole, Noah,
6Nathan, Sophie, Benjamin, Maisie, Michael, Austin, Tayler,
7Tanner, and Trever; his great-grandson, Liam; and his
8half-brother, George (Nome) Stansbury; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Jerome John Stansbury, and extend our sincere condolences to
12his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Jerome Stansbury as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
