SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

225 ILCS 440/5.5 new

Amends the Highway Advertising Control Act of 1971. Provides that nothing in the Act requires that the content of a sign located on the property of a business or activity be related to the business or activity conducted on that property.

AN ACT concerning regulation.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Highway Advertising Control Act of 1971 is amended by adding Section 5.5 as follows:

(225 ILCS 440/5.5 new)

Sec. 5.5. Sign content. Nothing in this Act requires that the content of a sign located on the property of a business or activity be related to the business or activity conducted on that property.
