HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Bernard Geiger of Chicago, who passed away on December 30, 2022; and

WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger graduated from Neal F. Simeon Vocational High School/Career Academy in Chicago in 1970, where he served as class president; during his tenure, he listened to his classmates' concerns, worked with administrators, and brought beneficial changes to the high school during his senior year; and

WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger was known for his leadership and interpersonal skills, and he touched many lives; and

WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger leaves behind a lasting legacy and great memories of joy and laughter; and

WHEREAS, Bernard Geiger is survived by his children, Tristan and Shannon, and the Geiger family; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Bernard Geiger and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bernard Geiger as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
