HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph
4"Joey" Burdiak of Yorkville, who passed away on August 2,
52021; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Joey Burdiak, the youngest child of Michael and
7Tammy (Hahn) Burdiak, was born in Palos Heights on April 25,
82008, eventually moving with his family to Yorkville; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Joey Burdiak was a student at Yorkville Middle
10School, where he played the violin in the school orchestra;
11everyone enjoyed hearing him play and practice and were amazed
12with his ability to self-tune his own violin; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Joey Burdiak was very intelligent and loved
14taking apart computers and toys with the challenge of
15reassembling them to learn how they operated; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Joey Burdiak was an avid animal lover and
17especially enjoyed the dog and two cats his family had as pets
18when he was born; he also loved zoo animals; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Joey Burdiak played soccer for most of his short
20life, including in Yorkville for the last few years; he also

1played floor hockey and kickball; he had learned to ice skate
2in the hopes of learning how to play ice hockey next; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Joey Burdiak was very close to his older sister,
4Kelcie; despite their 9-year age difference, he looked up to
5her and considered her his best friend; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Joey Burdiak was a gift to everyone who knew him;
7he was fiercely loved by his entire family, and they
8appreciated the opportunities to slow down and see the world
9through his eyes; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
11HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
12we mourn the passing of Joseph "Joey" Burdiak and extend our
13sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
14and loved him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Joey Burdiak as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
