HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Eric Mason Payne of Morton Grove, who passed away on August 11, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Eric Payne was born on April 24, 1984; and

WHEREAS, Eric Payne was known for being full of life, a Sox fan, and a goofy dad; and

WHEREAS, Eric Payne was the husband of Jaclyn Jennetten and the father of Leah "Liam" and Olivia; and

WHEREAS, Eric Payne was the son of Susan (Mason) and the late Richard R. Payne and the brother of Jason, Angela, and Elizabeth (Jaime Valle) Payne; and

WHEREAS, Eric Payne was the grandson of Betty (Benson) Payne and the late Richard D. Payne and the late Jack and Darlene (McCabe) Mason; and

WHEREAS, Eric Payne was the uncle of Arianna, Elena, Ada, and Xavier; and

WHEREAS, Eric Payne was the son-in-law of David Jennetten and Gail Trippi and the brother-in-law of Kevin and Sara Jennetten; and

WHEREAS, Eric Payne was the nephew, cousin, and friend of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Eric Mason Payne and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Eric Payne as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
