HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Natalie Flemenbaum on the occasion of attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, becoming the first female student at Stevenson High School to accomplish this achievement; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Flemenbaum is a member of Boy Scout Troop 48G in Lincolnshire, the first female Boy Scout Troop chartered in Illinois; and

WHEREAS, To achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, Natalie Flemenbaum organized a music concert for senior citizens at Springs of Vernon Hills Assisted Living to share her love of music, to contribute to the enjoyment and well-being of local seniors, and to build a bridge between generations; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Flemenbaum began participating in band and music in middle school; she served as the president of her high school band, leading its 400 student members, and played in the marching band; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Flemenbaum recently graduated from Stevenson High School, where she was also a member of the National Honor Society, the National Art Honor Society, the Tri M-Music Honor Society, and the Boy Scouts honor society Order of the Arrow; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Flemenbaum has earned a number of merit badges for her work in the Boy Scouts, including First Aid, Citizenship in Society, Emergency Preparedness, American Cultures, and Disability Awareness; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Flemenbaum is the daughter of Violeta and Arieh Flemenbaum and the sister of Gabriel and Daniela Flemenbaum, and her family is undoubtedly proud of her achievements and willingness to serve her community; and

WHEREAS, Natalie Flemenbaum will be attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to study biology; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Natalie Flemenbaum on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout, and we wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Natalie Flemenbaum as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
