| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Leonard | 4 | | Norrell Miller Jr., who passed away on December 14, 2023; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Miller was born to Annie Vivian | 6 | | Baldwin-Miller and Leonard Norrell Miller Sr. on January 7, | 7 | | 1952; he attended the University of Chicago and completed the | 8 | | carpentry program at Washburne Trade School; he married | 9 | | Jacqueline Miller on May 30, 1981; and | 10 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Miller was a master carpenter; he was a | 11 | | member of the carpentry crew that erected the Sears Tower, | 12 | | known today as the Willis Tower; he later became a | 13 | | salesperson, working in direct sales; and | 14 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Miller will be remembered as a man of | 15 | | strong faith who served as a role model and always gave back to | 16 | | his family; and | 17 | | WHEREAS, Leonard Miller is survived by his wife; his | 18 | | children, Arionne, Leonard III, Justin, and Brandon; his bonus | 19 | | daughter, Naashon; his bonus son, Sirron; his granddaughters, | 20 | | Janeya, Destenee, and Aaliayah; his siblings, Sallie, Peggy, | 21 | | David, Donna, and John; his nieces and nephews, Shontelle, |
