HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Maurice "Maury" Steiner; and

WHEREAS, Maury Steiner served in the military during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Maury Steiner worked as a certified public accountant; and

WHEREAS, Maury Steiner was a proud left-hander; he loved the television show Kukla, Fran and Ollie, penguins, dogs, and murder mysteries; he discovered traveling later in life and enjoyed visiting many countries and continents with his wife; he was an avid sports fan; and

WHEREAS, Maury Steiner was a devoted friend who maintained lifelong friendships; he will be remembered as a nice man who touched many hearts; and

WHEREAS, Maury Steiner was preceded in death by his daughter, Suzanne; and

WHEREAS, Maury Steiner was the husband for 65 years of Donna (Lang) Steiner; the father of Barbara, Lynn, and Barry; the grandfather to grandpets Josie and Phoenix; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Maurice "Maury" Steiner and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Maury Steiner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
