SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Gary G. Bayles of Monmouth, who passed
4away on January 26, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Bayles was born to Jerry and Ruth (Olander)
6Bayles in Rushville on November 15, 1941; he graduated from
7Monmouth High School in 1959; he served as an intercept
8operator in the U.S. Air Force in Germany for four years; he
9married Shirley Ryner in Monmouth on April 22, 1961; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Gary Bayles worked as a sales and finance manager
11at several auto dealerships around the State; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Gary Bayles loved traveling and was an avid
13Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals, and Warren Warriors fan;
14he will be remembered as a man of faith who loved spending time
15with his family, especially his grandchildren; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Gary Bayles was preceded in death by his parents;
17his son, David Bayles; his brothers, Ron and Lyle Bayles; and
18his parents-in-law, Ida and Carroll Ryner; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Gary Bayles is survived by his wife, Shirley
20Bayles; his children, Tracey (Bayles) Damewood and Dennis

1Bayles; his grandchildren, Joshua (Melissa) Bayles, Jacob
2Bayles, Danielle Bayles, Mandy (Ross) Hall, and Jenna
3Damewood; and his nine great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Gary G. Bayles and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Gary Bayles as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
