SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael M. Winn of Toulon, who passed away on January 17, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Michael Winn was born to William and Lorraine (Mona) Winn in Rockford on March 23, 1952; he graduated from Toulon High School in 1970 and attended Black Hawk College East Campus; he served in the U.S. Army; and

WHEREAS, Michael Winn was a member of the Toulon United Methodist Church and the Stark County Genealogical Society; and

WHEREAS, Michael Winn loved local history and genealogy, and he was known his ability to recall names, dates, and numbers off the top of his head; he enjoyed dining with friends and family, attending community gatherings, and spending time at the Toulon Library; and

WHEREAS, Michael Winn was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Mitch Winn; and

WHEREAS, Michael Winn is survived by his sister-in-law, Colleen Kimberly Winn; his nephew, Marcus Winn; his niece, Chelsea Winn; and his close, lifelong friends, Marlene Peed and Charlene Horner; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael M. Winn and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Winn as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
