SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Roger K. Hendrickson of East Moline, who passed away on April 28, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson was born to Martin Dale and Ethel Fern Mason Hendrickson in Macomb on October 30, 1936; he graduated from Moline High School and served in the U.S. Navy; he married Dorothy A. Versluis at St. Mary's Catholic Church in East Moline on August 24, 1957; and

WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson was employed with John Deere Harvester in East Moline for 33 years; he retired in 1992; and

WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and taking family trips to their cabin in Minnesota; and

WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dennis Lang; his parents; his sister, Joyce Hoffman; and an infant brother; and

WHEREAS, Roger Hendrickson is survived by his wife, Dorothy; his daughters, Susan Lang and Tamara (John) DeBisschop; his son, Mark (Jessica) Hendrickson; his grandchildren, Daniel (Jasmine) Carr, Stephen (Ashley) Carr, Emily (Travis) Boyle, Scott Lang, Lisa (Mike) Janes, Heather (Kyle) Patton, Leo DeBisschop, Lucy DeBisschop, Roger Hendrickson, and Lauren Hendrickson; nine great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, James Hoffman; several nieces and nephews; and other family members; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Roger K. Hendrickson and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Roger Hendrickson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
