SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dudley B. Trone of Moline, who passed away on October 27, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Dudley Trone was born to Perry A. and Harriet A. (Howard) Trone in Moline on May 6, 1945; he married Melody L. Karns in Moline on November 3, 1989; he served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, where he received the Bronze Star Medal with "V" Device; and

WHEREAS, Dudley Trone worked for MidAmerican Energy, where he retired from the IT department; and

WHEREAS, Dudley Trone was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship; and

WHEREAS, Dudley Trone was an outstanding, all-around athlete known for his great sense of humor; above all, he loved spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Dudley Trone was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Dudley Trone is survived by his wife of 34 years; his children, Kirsten (Kevin) Kirkbride and Terry (Brea Larson) Trone; his grandchildren, Keelyandra (Austin Eastman) Kirkbride and Konnor Kirkbride; and the mother of his children, Sonja Trowbridge; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dudley B. Trone and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dudley Trone as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
