SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Donald Dean Larimore of Pekin, who passed away on December 19, 2023; and

WHEREAS, Dean Larimore was born to Bert Nelson and Kathleen Emma (Smith) Larimore in Pekin on February 24, 1934; he graduated from Pekin Community High School in 1952; he served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1957; he married June Yvonne "Bonnie" Templeton in Las Vegas, Nevada on June 7, 1994; and

WHEREAS, Dean Larimore first worked at Peoria Thermal; he was also a self-employed owner of Dean's Heating and Air Conditioning in East Peoria for many years; he was a building engineer and maintenance worked at First Financial Bank for 10 years, retiring on July 17, 1996; and

WHEREAS, Dean Larimore was a member of Bayview Baptist Church in Washington, and he was a life member of Empire Lodge 126, Ancient Free & Accepted Masons of Pekin; and

WHEREAS, Dean Larimore was a longtime private pilot who loved flying; he also square-danced for many years and enjoyed roller skating; he was very grateful to have traveled on an Honor Flight trip; and

WHEREAS, Dean Larimore was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one stepson, Mark Lawson; two brothers; and two sisters; and

WHEREAS, Dean Larimore is survived by his stepson, Gary Lawson; his stepdaughter, Carol (Tim) Reed; his granddaughters, Mary Schneider and Amy (Jeff) Frank; his grandson, Daniel (Angie) Reed; his great-grandchildren, Malorie (Aaron) Bramm, Andrew (Erica Doman) Schneider, Eloise Frank, and Vincent Schneider; and his great-great-grandsons, Francisco and Elliot; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Donald Dean Larimore and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dean Larimore as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
