 1        AN ACT concerning appropriations for teacher pensions.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  1.   Short  title.  This Act may be cited as the
 5    Chicago Teacher Pension Fund Continuing Appropriation Act.

 6        Section  5.    Continuing    appropriation.    There   is
 7    appropriated from the Common School Fund to the Public School
 8    Teachers'  Pension  and  Retirement  Fund  of  Chicago,  on a
 9    continuing monthly basis beginning July 1, 2003, the  amount,
10    if  any,  by  which  the  total available amount of all other
11    appropriations to that Retirement Fund  for  the  payment  of
12    State  contributions  is  less  than  the total amount of the
13    vouchers for required State contributions lawfully  submitted
14    by  the  Fund  for  that  month  under  Section 17-127 of the
15    Illinois Pension Code.

16        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
17    becoming law.
