 1        AN ACT in relation to the legislature.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The  General  Assembly  Organization  Act  is
 5    amended by changing Section 3 as follows:

 6        (25 ILCS 5/3) (from Ch. 63, par. 3)
 7        Sec.  3.  Deposit  of books, bills, documents, and papers
 8    with the Secretary of State.   The Secretary  of  the  Senate
 9    and  Clerk  of  the House of Representatives, at the close of
10    each session of the General Assembly, shall  deliver  to  the
11    Secretary of State all books, bills, documents, and papers in
12    the  possession  of  either  branch  of the General Assembly,
13    correctly labeled, folded and classified,  according  to  the
14    subject  matter  of  such  documents  respectively;  and  the
15    Secretary of State shall preserve the same in his office.
