 1        AN ACT making appropriations.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The amount of $4,000,000, or so much of  that
 5    amount  as  may  be  necessary,  is appropriated to the State
 6    Board of Education for a  grant  to  East  St.  Louis  School
 7    District 189 to renovate East St. Louis - Lincoln High School
 8    to convert it into a technical and vocational area school.

 9        Section  99.   Effective  date.  This Act takes effect on
10    July 1, 2003.
