 1        AN ACT concerning taxes.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Economic  Development  for  a   Growing
 5    Economy  Tax  Credit Act is amended by adding Section 5-22 as
 6    follows:

 7        (35 ILCS 10/5-22 new)
 8        Sec. 5-22.  Greater Rockford Airport.  An applicant  that
 9    otherwise  meets  the  requirements of this Act but that does
10    not meet the investment requirements  of  subsection  (b)  of
11    Section  5-20  is  eligible for the credit allowed under this
12    Act if the applicant's investment and hiring of new employees
13    results from business generated either directly or indirectly
14    by the presence of the Greater Rockford Airport.

15        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
16    becoming law.
