 1        AN ACT in relation to taxes.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Department  of Revenue Law of the Civil
 5    Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding  Section
 6    2505-66 as follows:

 7        (20 ILCS 2505/2505-66 new)
 8        Sec.  2505-66.  Detailed  sales  tax  information.  On  a
 9    quarterly basis, the Department of Revenue shall provide each
10    municipality  with detailed information concerning businesses
11    within the municipality that pay  occupation  and  use  taxes
12    sufficient to aid the municipality in preparing its municipal
13    budget.  The  detailed  information  shall  indicate  whether
14    proper  occupation and use tax payments are being received by
15    the municipality by monitoring and tracking those revenues.

16        Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on July
17    1, 2003.
