 1        AN ACT concerning vehicles.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Illinois  Vehicle  Code  is  amended by
 5    adding Sections 11-1408.5 and 11-1408.6 as follows:

 6        (625 ILCS 5/11-1408.5 new)
 7        Sec. 11-1408.5.  Riding in towed vehicles. No  person  or
 8    persons  shall  occupy a vehicle while it is being towed by a
 9    tow truck.

10        (625 ILCS 5/11-1408.6 new)
11        Sec. 11-1408.6.  Riding in tow trucks.  No  more  than  2
12    passengers  shall occupy the cab of a tow truck while the tow
13    truck is towing a vehicle.

14        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  upon
15    becoming law.
