 1        AN ACT concerning public accountants.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Illinois Public Accounting Act is amended
 5    by adding Section 30.4 as follows:

 6        (225 ILCS 450/30.4 new)
 7        (Section scheduled to be repealed on January 1, 2014)
 8        Sec.   30.4.  Prohibited  practice.  A  certified  public
 9    accountant may not act as an auditor and a consultant to  the
10    same company.
