 1        AN ACT concerning the Department of Revenue.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5. The Department of Revenue  Law  of  the  Civil
 5    Administrative  Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section
 6    2505-631 as follows:

 7        (20 ILCS 2505/2505-631 new)
 8        Sec. 2505-631. Charges for geographic information  system
 9    products.  The Department may collect a reasonable charge for
10    geographic information system products and related  services.
11    All  moneys  received  from  these charges shall be deposited
12    into the Geographic Information  System  Fund  in  the  State
13    treasury.

14        Section  10.  The  State Finance Act is amended by adding
15    Sections 5.595 and 8.38 as follows:

17        Sec. 5.595. The Geographic Information System Fund.

18        (30 ILCS 105/8.38 new)
19        Sec.  8.38.  Geographic  Information  System  Fund.   One
20    hundred percent of the revenues received by the Department of
21    Revenue  from  the  sale  of  geographic  information  system
22    products  and  related  services  shall be deposited into the
23    Geographic Information System Fund in the State treasury from
24    which it shall be appropriated to the Department  of  Revenue
25    for  (i)  the  development, expansion, and maintenance of its
26    geographic information system  and  (ii)  expenses  connected
27    with  the  production  and  maintenance  of those information
28    products and services.
