 1        AN ACT in relation to vehicles.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The  Illinois  Vehicle  Code  is  amended  by
 5    changing Section 1-148.8 as follows:

 6        (625 ILCS 5/1-148.8)
 7        Sec. 1-148.8.  Nondivisible load or vehicle.
 8        (a)  A  load  or vehicle that when separated into smaller
 9    loads or vehicles further dismantling would:
10             (1)  Compromise the intended  use  of  the  load  or
11        vehicle  or  make  it  unable to perform the function for
12        which it was intended.
13             (2)  Destroy the value of the  load  or  vehicle  or
14        make it unusable for its intended purpose.
15             (3)  Require  more  than  8  work hours to dismantle
16        using  appropriate  equipment.   The  applicant   for   a
17        nondivisible  load  has  the  burden  of  proof as to the
18        number of work hours required to dismantle the load.
19        (b)  Any truck used for the transportation of milk.
