SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

70 ILCS 920/5.4 new

Amends the Tuberculosis Sanitarium District Act. Dissolves the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District. Requires all assets and liabilities and all responsibility for tuberculosis treatment and care of the District to be transferred to the Cook County Department of Public Health.

AN ACT concerning tuberculosis sanitariums.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Tuberculosis Sanitarium District Act is amended by changing Section 5.4 as follows:

(70 ILCS 920/5.4 new)

Sec. 5.4. Dissolution; Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District is dissolved by operation of law upon the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly. All assets and liabilities and all responsibility for tuberculosis care and treatment of the Suburban Cook County Tuberculosis Sanitarium District dissolved under this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly are transferred to the Cook County Department of Public Health.
