SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

215 ILCS 106/15

Amends the Children's Health Insurance Program Act. Makes a technical change in a Section relating to the operation of the program.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT relating to children's health insurance.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Children's Health Insurance Program Act is amended by changing Section 15 as follows:

(215 ILCS 106/15)

Sec. 15. Operation of the Children's Health Insurance Program. There is hereby created a Children's Health Insurance Program. The Program shall operate subject to appropriation and shall be administered by the Department of Public Aid. The Department shall have the powers and authority granted to the Department under the Illinois Public Aid Code. The Department may contract with a Third Party Administrator or other entities to administer and oversee any portion of this Program.
