SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

35 ILCS 200/12-5

Amends the Property Tax Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning valuation statements.

A BILL FOR

AN ACT in relation to taxes.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing Section 12-5 as follows:

(35 ILCS 200/12-5)

Sec. 12-5. Taxpayer entitled to statement of valuation. The chief county assessment officer, when requested, shall deliver to any person a copy of the description or statement of property assessed in his or her name or in which he or she is interested, and the valuation placed on the property thereon by the assessor, chief county assessment officer, board of review, or board of appeals.
