 1        AN ACT in relation to the Secretary of State.

 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section  5.  The  Secretary  of  State  Act is amended by
 5    changing Section 3 as follows:

 6        (15 ILCS 305/3) (from Ch. 124, par. 3)
 7        Sec. 3.  Deposit of public acts.  All public acts,  laws,
 8    and resolutions passed by the General Assembly of this State,
 9    shall  be  carefully deposited in the office of the Secretary
10    of State, and the Secretary of  State  is  charged  with  the
11    safety  of  the said office, and all laws, acts, resolutions,
12    bonds, papers, and  records  that  which  now  are  or  shall
13    hereafter be deposited therein.
