 1        AN ACT concerning courts.

 2        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:

 4        Section 5.  The Supreme Court Act is amended by  changing
 5    Section 7 as follows:

 6        (705 ILCS 5/7) (from Ch. 37, par. 12)
 7        Sec.  7.  Supreme Court; powers.  The Supreme Court shall
 8    be vested with all power and  authority  necessary  to  carry
 9    into  complete execution all its judgments and determinations
10    in all matters within  its  jurisdiction,  according  to  the
11    rules  and  principles  of  the common law and of the laws of
12    this State.
