 1                          HOUSE RESOLUTION

 2        WHEREAS, The  Lincolnwood  Public  Library  District  was
 3    officially established on February 28, 1978 in the Village of
 4    Lincolnwood, Illinois, through the efforts of a devoted group
 5    of citizens who recognized the need for this institution; and

 6        WHEREAS,  The  Lincolnwood  Public  Library  District has
 7    expanded in size  and  content,  and  with  continued  fiscal
 8    responsibility,  meeting  the  high standards and needs of an
 9    increasingly diverse community; and

10        WHEREAS, The  Lincolnwood  Public  Library  District  has
11    operated,  and will always do so, with the utmost respect for
12    the Constitutions of the  United  States  and  the  State  of
13    Illinois,  and  has lived up to a public library's reputation
14    as the cornerstone of democracy; and

15        WHEREAS, February 28, 2003 is the 25th anniversary of the
16    Lincolnwood Public Library District; therefore, be it

17        RESOLVED,  BY  THE  HOUSE  OF  REPRESENTATIVES   OF   THE
18    NINETY-THIRD  GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
19    we honor and commend the Lincolnwood Public Library  District
20    for its progress and commitment to the Village of Lincolnwood
21    and  recognize  February  28, 2003, as the Lincolnwood Public
22    Library District's 25th Anniversary; and be it further

23        RESOLVED, That a suitable  copy  of  this  resolution  be
24    presented  to  Barbara  Balbirer,  President  of the Board of
25    Trustees of the Lincolnwood Public Library District.
