HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the
3 State of Illinois wish to recognize Mrs. Janet Wines on the
4 occasion of her retirement from the Mt. Zion school district on
5 May 25, 2004; and
 
6      WHEREAS, Mrs. Wines is the daughter of Virgil and Edith
7 Gregg of Clarksburg Township in Shelby County; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Mrs. Wines is an honored graduate of Eastern
9 Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in Elementary
10 Education in 1968 and a master's degree in Library Science in
11 1988; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Mrs. Wines has served the children and families of
13 the Mt. Zion school district as a district librarian for 35
14 years; and
 
15     WHEREAS, She has instilled in her students the love of
16 reading and the joy of books that will carry on for
17 generations; and
 
18     WHEREAS, She is the proud mother of two daughters, Michelle
19 Kelm and Melissa Taggart; and the grandmother of four
20 granddaughters, Zoe, Sarah, Bryn, and Grace; and
 
21     WHEREAS, Mrs. Wines recently celebrated the 39th
22 anniversary of her marriage to Mr. Dale Wines; and
 
23     WHEREAS, Mrs. Wines is a life-long resident of Central
24 Illinois having been born, raised, and continues to live and
25 worship in Shelbyville; therefore, be it
 
26     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
27 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1 congratulate Mrs. Janet Wines on her retirement from the Mt.
2 Zion school district after 35 years of public service to her
3 students, families, community, and colleagues; and we wish her
4 good health and happiness in all her future endeavors; and be
5 it further
 
6     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7 presented to Mrs. Janet Wines as a token of our admiration and
8 respect.
